Cape Cod Businesses, Organizations and Citizens Help By Taking Action
• We invite you to join us and others in the Cape Cod Community to speak with one voice in opposing EVERSOURCE’s continued efforts to spray herbicides throughout Cape Cod. EVERSOURCE submitted their 2015 Yearly Operational Plan on February 7, 2015.
We are reaching out to you, environmental organizations throughout the Cape, our representatives in the legislature, and other community organizations. In 2013 and 2014, 14 towns on the Cape asked EVERSOURCE to abandon herbicidal spraying. We’re now looking to demonstrate broad public support for this effort.
The comment period regarding NSTAR’s 2015 YOP ends on May 6, 2015. Last year we sent the attached letter An Open Letter to EVERSOURCE and MDAR to the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources with copies to; Governor Patrick, Senator Warren, Senator Markey, Senator Wolf, and our state representatives. We also sent copies to the media, including The Cape Cod Times, The Boston Globe, and others.
Please join this Cape-wide effort again and contact your government officials.
Please respond during the comment period that ends on May 6, 2015.
Thank you for helping protect Cape Cod’s unique environment!
All The Best,
Director, POCCA Cape Cod
