Now more than any time in our history our species needs to work together.
- We face awesome environmental challenges: climate change, food production, overpopulation, epidemic disease, acidification of oceans, chemicals in drinking waters.
- We are at the most critical moment in the development of humanity.
- We now have the technology and chemicals to destroy the planet if we don’t act wisely.
- We need to work together to protect our home, the Earth.
The best way to work together is for each of us to purchase wisely daily, every day, change habits, shop at higher quality places who care for Earth, let it become a life style. We all can do a bit better, right?
Collectively we will make an impact enough to protect natural resources longer.
~ It starts at home with you ~
As the new year approaches, make some resolutions to do your part to be a good steward of the planet: make some resolutions to do your part to be a good steward of the planet: simplify your life, use less materials, learn to grow food, ride a bike, ride daily, recycle 100%, buy food from local farms, find local crafts as gifts, don’t purchase anything toxic again – including laundry detergent, be gentle with yourself, for the way you treat yourself is the way you treat the planet.
A pledge I read daily:
I pledge allegiance to the Earth
And all the LIFE which it supports
One planet in our care,
irreplaceable, with sustenance and respect for ALL!
“Let us put our minds together and see what life we can make for our children.”
~ Sitting Bull
We are fortunate to be here now. Each decision an individual makes matters more than ever. You can make a difference, take good care of yourself and your loved ones, make wise choices, and the shift toward the betterment of our planet begins. It is up to us to protect our drinking water.
All The Growing Best,
Laura Kelley, President POCCA Cape Cod
